A Note From Doc

Image
I have heard it said that if God would allow "that person in heaven, then I don't want to go". David Berkowitz (son of Sam), Charles "Tex" Watson (follower of Charles Manson), Jeffrey Dahmer (Milwaukee Cannibal), Douglas Blaser (wretched sinner) all have something in common: trying to finish well after a lifestyle of sin. FYI, there are not enough "good works" to get anyone, even you, into heaven. God's standards are impossible to meet by human effort. I cannot speak for anyone else, but I know that I fall short every day. No one "deserves" to go to heaven. "Everyone" should go to hell. I am very thankful for what is written in Romans 5:8: But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us. 9 Therefore, since we are now justified (acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ’s blood, how mu

What Is Christianity And How Do I Study The Word Of God?

Image
Christianity IS NOT a religion. The word 'Christianity' denotes a PERSONAL relationship with God. Christianity is a relationship between God and man based on the work of Christ on the cross. God offers all and humans receive the gift. God is free to do all He does for us because of the intersession of Jesus Christ on the cross. Religion, in all its forms, is man’s attempt to gain salvation or approval of God through works. Man offers something and God rejects it. Religion is Satan’s attempt to convince people that man can do something for salvation. In other words, Christianity is God reaching out to mankind; Religion is mankind trying to reach out to God. 6 Propositions And A Gospel Presentation: There are three systems of learning: 1) Rationalism: Knowledge obtained through reason. Philosophers use this method. 2) Empiricism: Knowledge obtained through experience. Truly objective scientists use this method. 3) Faith: Acceptance of established criterion as basis for evaluati

The Forty Things Imputed To A Believer At Salvation

Image
The Forty Things A Believer Is Imputed With At Salvation: When a person accepts the grace gift of salvation through faith alone in Christ alone, God the Holy Spirit not only imputes salvation, but 39 irrevocable assets and one revocable (but recoverable) asset to the new believer: 1. The believer resides in the eternal plan of God and shares the destiny of Christ. He is: A.             Foreknown (Acts 2:23; Rom. 8:29; 1 Pet. 1:2). B.             Elected (Rom. 8:33; Col. 3:12; 1 Thess. 1:4; Titus 1:1; 1 Pet. 1:2). C.             Predestined (Rom. 8:29-30; Eph. 1:5,11). D.             Chosen (Matt. 22:14; 1 Pet. 2:4). E.             Called (1 Thess. 5:24). 2. The believer is reconciled (removal of the barrier between man and God caused by the imputation of the sin nature at birth and the resultant spiritual death): A.             By God (2 Cor. 5:18-19; Col. 1:20). B.             To God (Rom. 5:10; 2 Cor. 5:20; Eph. 2:14-17). 3. The believer is redeemed, purchased from the slave market

The Eternal Rewards

Image
Although a believer who has come to salvation through faith alone in Christ alone cannot lose their salvation, the reversionist believer can lose their eternal rewards if they do not confess their known sins to God (1 John 1:9) and do not use their time in this world to grow in grace “and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.” These rewards are held in “escrow” and are available to all believers who have achieved spiritual maturity in time through continued advancement in the plan of God, keeping current on the confession of sin, study and application of the Word of God to their lives, achieving the mind of Christ and maximum glory of God in their Earthly existence.   The word "Nike" is a Koine Greek word for “victorious”, which describes the believer who has achieved the “high ground” of spiritual maturity in time and eternity. Thus, this list of eternal rewards has been called the “Nike Awards” and is given out to the mature believers at the Evaluation Throne for all the believ

The Sin Nature And Confession Of Sin

Image
1 John 1:9-  But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, forgiving us our sins and cleansing us from all unrighteousness.   I bring good news:   No one owes God anything. Jesus Christ has paid our debt.   The Word of God tells us “All have sinned. All have fallen short of the glory of God,” yet “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not die but have everlasting life.”   We all sin in something we think, say, or do. However, on the cross, Jesus Christ was imputed the sins of all mankind. Every sin that could ever be committed was imputed to One who knew no sin, and in Him those sins were judged.   Now, sin is not the issue, volition is. For the unbeliever, the issue for their volition is “What think ye of Christ?” For the believer, the issue for their volition is “ Will you grow in grace, consistently studying the Word of God and applying the doctrine you learn to your life?”   Any one who comes to the cross and a
